Company Policy

R & R Security Specialists

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using R&R Security Services Ltd, By accessing or using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Refunds 


  • You must have a copy of your receipt to process a valid refund - No Receipt No Refund.


  • Refunds will only be given if your item(s) are faulty or not as specifically requested on order.


  • Refunds will not be given if you have changed your mind or the item(s) are not fit for the purpose bought for.


  • Refunds will not be given for keys cut that we have advised are most likely not going to work, whether that’s copies from damaged/worn keys or cut by code provided by the customer.


  • In house milled key blanks cannot be guaranteed to work as they are milled from your provided original key. In most cases, this is done as a last resort option due to the copy blanks being discontinued or unobtainable.


  • Vehicle/bike keys cannot be refunded if the blank and/or key code is provided by the customer.


  • Any repair work to remote keys including case and circuit boards are not guaranteed to work. We cannot confirm the working state of your key/remote before it is worked upon. This is done at the customer's own risk and is usually only when there is no alternative option other than to replace and programme all new keys to the vehicle.


  • Any keys cut from copy keys cannot be guaranteed to work and will not be refunded if they do not work, in this case we would recommend you try to obtain an original key for us to cut from or have a new lock installed.


  • Customers must allow us the opportunity to recut any keys that do not work the first time.


Deposits 


  • Any work booked that requires a deposit, for example, repossessions and/or evictions are non-refundable if cancelled within 72 Hrs of the booking.


  • Custom made gates, grilles and shutters require a 50% deposit on acceptance.


  • Deposits required for custom cylinder/lock orders, Suited sets and Mastered sets or systems


Custom orders

  • Made to order cylinder or lock sets, unless faulty or not as specifically requested are non refundable


  • Grille, Gate and Shutter orders require a 50% deposit as above and are non-refundable as they are custom designed and made to order.


  • Grilles and Gates ordered from customers' own measurements and drawings require full payment and are non-refundable unless the item(s) does not meet the specification as detailed to us.



Payments 


  •  All item(s) ordered in at customers request are subject to payment up front.


  •  All stock item(s) are sold at the manufacturers RRP and are subject to VAT at 20%.


  •  All labour prices quoted are subject to VAT at 20%.


  •  All quotes provided over email or the phone for locksmith services are an estimated cost and are subject to site visit.


  •  All work undertaken by the company is due to be paid on completion of work



Warranties 


  • Any items supplied and installed by the company have a 12 month warranty


  • Extended warranties given by manufacturer(s) is provided by them directly and to be taken up with them directly, any involvement from us to help facilitate this warranty will be charged for at our standard labour rates.


  • If in the instance you are not able to contact us through emergency hours because you are locked out and believe your lock would be within an existing warranty, we will cover 100% of your costs only on the condition that the work is carried out by an approved MLA locksmith following a report from them clarifying the lock was at fault and is what caused you to be locked out.


  • Any other issue under warranty is not covered free of charge during emergency hours, we will look to resolve your issue in our normal business hours.


  • Any keys supplied through the shop must be tested before relying on them to be used, the company is not liable if you are locked out because your key doesn’t work.

  • You will need a copy of your sales receipt to prove purchase and that it is within the warranty period.



Engineer Visits 


  • Adequate parking is to be arranged by the customer upon arrival. If this is not possible, the engineer’s paid parking charge will      be added to the final invoice on completion.


Ordered and Reserved Items 


  • Ordered or reserved items not collected within 30 days of notice to collect will be put into stock for resale.


  • Keys left to be copied will require payment upfront. Uncollected keys will be disposed of after 60 days.
